Symposium is our core event wherein speakers from various sectors of the industry come and share their insights on the relevant theme. The 8th Annual Marketing Conclave has theme “Sports & Entertainment Marketing”.

Anurag Batra- Chairman, Business World Magazine

Annurag Batra is a first generation entrepreneur and is currently serving as Chairman of India’s Most Respected and widely acknowledged business magazine BW | Businessworld.

He also serves as Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of exchange4media group which includes – India’s leading media industry website, PITCH – India’s only Advertising, Marketing and Media Magazine, IMPACT – The Marketing Weekly, Franchisee Plus – India’s Business Opportunity Magazine, Realty Plus – India’s leading monthly real estate magazine and – leading media industry website in Hindi.

He has multi-industry experience, having worked with India’s largest advertising and media services firm HTA (now JWT) and Mindshare, as well as in the real estate industry. He is a member of the Sales and Marketing Committee of the Delhi Management Association and on the Executive Committee of the Association of Indian Magazines (AIM).

He has been a management student of India’s premier B-School Management Development Institute (MDI) at Gurgaon (1996).

Nitish Sharma- Assistant Vice President, Multi Screen Media, Sony

Nitish Sharma is currently working with Multi Screen Media India Pvt. Ltd as the Assistant Vice President. He is responsible for formulating strategy for providing engaging content for women viewers by deriving deep insights about their attitude, beliefs, and motivation drivers.

He has been a part of Star India in Consumer Insights and Research and has worked on designing the Sports Strategy which involved identifying exactly which sport to target and penetrate in the market. As an extension of the same he was the part of the team which conceptualised the Pro Kabaddi League from definition up to final execution.He also worked on Cricket ,Hockey & badminton the mandate being to take these sports up to the next level.

Before he worked with Madura Garments on Business Strategy and Retail operations, he was part of the Corporate Strategy Cell of Aditya Birla Group, where he worked on diverse strategic initiatives of the company by virtue of being a pre placement offer awardee.

Neeti Virmani- Ex-Station Head(AVP), 92.7 BIG FM

Over the last 15 years, Neeti Virmani has worked across Sales, Marketing and General Management profiles in diverse sectors like Telecom, FMCG and Media with Mass consumer focused Brands Airtel, Pepsi, Aircel and RBNL-92.7 BIG FM.

At 92.7 BIG FM, she won the CEO Constant Innovation Award for the Best Programming and Marketing of Mumbai Radio Station for 2014. She also won CEO awards for Highest revenue growth, and Brand Count Growth at the station.

At Airtel, she won the Best Account Manager Awards for the Highest Revenue Target achieved in the vertical IT/Telecom for the year 2005-06 (Data, Wireless and Wireline). Also, won the Champions Award as the certificate of recognition for exemplary performance and demonstration of Bharti Values at workplace.

Currently she is pursuing INSEAD Executive program in General Management and Leadership for one year (2014-15). She is a Management Post Graduate from HIM (NMIMS, Mumbai).

Marketing Club is the flag bearer of marketing related events and activities in the institute. It takes great pride in organizing ‘Marketing Conclave’, its flagship event, which acts as a platform for students to interact with the top brass of India Inc. The Conclave also receives participation from prominent B-schools of the country for its student competitions. The club holds innovative events throughout the year to test students’ marketing acumen. It is an ever-evolving committee with regular introduction of new initiatives like “Cinemarki”, to look at the pictures or dialogues of movies’ screenshots through the eyes of a marketer and advertise a product by associating that scene or the lyrics/dialogue with the product.
